Q. what is the process for securing a date for an event?
A. Please submit an online application. Once your application is approved we will send you an invoice requesting a $150 refundable security deposit to hold your date. The balance is due 14 days from the date of your event.
Q. what is our refund policy?
A. We do our very best to accommodate your needs. In the case that you need to cancel your upcoming event, please do so at least 30 days or more before the date of your event. Soul Center charges a $25 administrative fee to cancel or change your date. If you cancel your reservation less than 30 days before your event a $50 fee will be assessed. For any cancellations under 14 days from the date of your event you forfeit your Security Deposit of $150.
Q. What’s included in my rental fee?
A. Included in your rental is exclusive access to our Event Center as well as our Community Garden. We have 6 X 6 ft tables to accommodate your guests and 25 chairs are provided (with the ability to rent more if needed). Soul Center has a Bluetooth Speaker with a Microphone for your enjoyment, a refrigerator and freezer for storage of cold perishables and 2 Water Coolers to cut down waste from single use plastics.
Q. what is your policy on food and Alcohol?
A. At Soul Center we ask that all of our Community Events be Vegan Offerings, as it is most aligned with our value for all life on Earth. We have a list of amazing in house caterers as well as Vegan Food Trucks that we have built solid relationships with, we are happy to connect you.
If you plan to sell beer or wine at your event, please contact the City of Mesa for special permitting. Beer or Wine is allowed with prior approval for parties over 21 years of age. No liquor is permitted.
Q. what is your policy on waste?
A. At Soul Center we don’t believe Social Gatherings should come at a heavy expense to the planet so we encourage minimal waste. We will provide you with a can to dispose of your trash (anything over that please take with you) and recycling is highly regarded. Soul Center has a compost bin on site for those plant based scraps. We use the compost to feed our garden.
We prohibit the use of Styrofoam on the premises because Styrofoam is not bio-degradable. If you are in need of single use table settings, we highly encourage compostable matter that is Earth Friendly. Please feel free to inquire for suggestions.
Q. what is your policy on cleaning?
A. Please dispose of trash in proper bin provided. Anything beyond that please take with you. Recycling bins are provided on premises. Please take all food and drink with you when you leave and any other decorations, flowers, party favors, etc. Upon proper return on the space your full security deposit will be electronically refunded within 72 hours of the time your event ends.
